INEOS Chemicals Grangemouth has submitted an appeal to Scottish Government on the grounds that Falkirk Council has not determined their planning application within the statutory 4 month period. The application will now be considered by Reporters from the Scottish Government Planning and Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA). Scottish Ministers will then decide whether to grant or refuse planning permission.
Details of the appeal including information about appeal procedures and all documents, materials and evidence accompanying the appeal are published on the DPEA website. Following inquiry and hearing sessions in February and March 2018 the Reporters are now preparing a report and recommendation for Scottish Ministers. That report is likely to be submitted to Ministers early in the Summer. The Scottish Ministers will issue their decision after they have considered the Reporters recommendations.
Further updates will be published on the DPEA website.
